Before The Second Coming of Christ, This Will Happen To Many People

People Are Beginning To Change. A seared conscience, the worst place for a Christian to be.

Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; … (1 Timothy 4:1-2)

The characteristics of the end time have been revealed by the Holy Spirit, and one of them is that people will have seared consciences. The devil is after the human conscience.

I used to believe that this passage of scripture was referring to the world (the unbelievers), but I came to find that, NO, NO NO, this passage of scripture we find here is not referring to the world but referring to Christians, (the believer, to people like you and me).

Look at the terminology used in the bible here – “Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, …”. You cannot depart from the faith if you were never a part of the faith. If you always belonged to the world, if you were always an unbeliever, you can not depart from the faith because you were never in the faith.

This passage of scripture is referring to those who are in the faith, but at some point, they leave the faith because of two things; seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils, and then the result of this that, they have seared consciences

Human Conscience

Today we are going to look at the Human Conscience.

The Human Conscience is something we should not take lightly; the Human Memory is also something we should not take lightly. But before we talk about the Human Conscience in more detail, allow me to take a small detour and talk about the Human Memory.

One thing I have seen a lot of people struggle with is the memories of the sins they committed in the past. Decades have passed by, but they are still haunted by the memories of their sins. This is another reason why you should avoid sin.

The memory of sins we have committed can sometimes come back and flash themselves before your eyes. You could be having a moment of joy with your family and then a memory of sin you committed years ago – a sin that God has already forgiven you for – comes into your memory, and it just ruins your day.

Someone once said, “let the dead bury the dead”. But that is one thing that does not die; memories. Memories do not die. Do you know, even death does not wipe your memory away? Even hell does not free you from your memory.
